Chiaroscuro
Chiaroscuro is built through contrast.
Polished gold meets patinated alloys and darkened silver. At a distance the surface reads matte and uniform; at arm’s length, reverse-set diamonds catch the light that patina absorbs elsewhere, and brilliance appears only where the metal permits it.
Forms move between spheres, arcs, cuffs and elongated structures. Some are centred; others displace their weight deliberately. Balance comes through proportion, material contrast and the distribution of stones across the form.
Light is part of construction here. It can be amplified, interrupted or absorbed, so the same jewel changes as it moves.
Chiaroscuro approaches jewellery as a constructed object whose contrasts become fully legible on the body.
