Diamonds, Amethysts, Beige Gold and Shibuichi

The Atlas Spur Earrings are a study in spatial rhythm and contrast, featuring materials that are rarely used in high jewellery. Crafted from dark-patinated shibuichi, the earrings showcase fancy-cut amethysts in deep violet hues alongside diamonds set in a reverse manner, challenging traditional notions of brilliance. The clarity of the diamonds not only serves as decoration but also acts as a lens, revealing layers of patina in ochres, scorched copper, and mineralised desert tones.

The design evokes a sense of directional tension that is anchored by the faceted architecture of the amethysts and mirrored in the sculptural profile of the metalwork. Light interacts uniquely with the various surfaces, creating an effect that is both sharp and atmospheric.
