Auralandi Earrings

£1,700.00

Amethysts and Gold

The Auralandi earrings are a tribute to Hugo's grandmother, Aura. Their geometric design conveys a sense of lineage and permanence, featuring a hexagonal amethyst cradled by protective columns of gold. The interplay between angular precision and vibrant colour captures the dual essence of remembrance: it is structured and enduring, yet infused with Aura's presence and emotional depth. The name Auralandi itself evokes a poetic realm — the land of Aura — positioning the earrings as not just adornments, but as vessels of heritage. With only three pairs meticulously handcrafted, these earrings reflect the intimacy of a personal dedication. They create a constellation where geometry, materials, and personal history come together, allowing Aura's name and spirit to continue shining in the present. The amethysts are cut in a fancy hexagonal shape, showcasing a deep, crystal-clear hue that carries a hint of mystery. Each gem is set in a rectangular base, while the overall silhouette subtly acknowledges the hexagonal form. The design is clean yet substantial. Crafted from 800/1000 gold, an alloy chiefly used in Portugal, the finish boasts a warm tone with a soft, sandblasted surface, giving it a matte glow that complements the rich purple without overshadowing it. These earrings don't make a grand statement in terms of size or excessive embellishment; instead, they exude a quiet strength. The external form is clear and defined: every element, from the gem to the prong and frame, is visible. The combination of purple and gold creates a timeless pairing.

Auralandi Earrings
Auralandi earrings in 19.2 Karat Gold with fancy hexagon cut amethysts, won by model Antonia Grant, photographed by Benjamin Jones. The extensive art collection housed in the Palazzo Doria Pamphilj in Rome, visited by Hugo since early youth, led him to create something unique after his grandmother Aura.
